Vacation is primarily about relaxation. Beyond relaxation and slackening, however, there are important programmes and sights to see, providing an opportunity for active recreation, and to get yourselves acquainted with the miraculous treasures of Hungary. ÁLOMPART BEACH AND PORT
Only 300 metres from Dinnyéshát Summer House, you can find the wonderful Álompart (Dream Beach), which is considered as the best-designed beach of Lake Tisza by many, offering countless programme opportunities.
This protected, sandy beach segment with calm, gradually deepening waters is safe even for families with small children. You can cool yourselves in the shadows of trees and parasols, on comfy deck chairs in this grass-covered area.
You can rent a kayak or a pedalo from the Port. If you’re looking for romance, take the ferry and pull it manually to reach the tiny neighbouring island. The observation tower at the end of the beach, having a magnificent view on River Tisza, Lake Tisza and the Dinnyéshát recreational area, is really popular.

BICYCLE TOUR
The final section of cycle tracks around Lake Tisza was built in 2020: now you can feast your eyes on the beauty of the land while cycling freely along a nearly 70 kilometres long and 2.5 metres wide top-notch asphalt cycle track crossing 4 bridges.
The track on top of the dam provides an impressive view of the land, allowing you to look at the islands, the floodplain woods and the beautiful water surface while cycling. The 65 kilometres long cycle track around Lake Tisza joins the international EuroVelo11 cycle route at Lake Tisza Cycling Centre (Tiszafüred) - EuroVelo11 is a cycle route crossing Europe from Norway to Greece.
There’s only 1 meter height difference along the track, so cyclists may bravely engage in a short tour without any special preparations. There are four locations where you can set off to cross the lake by ferry, but you can also go on combined boat-and-bicycle journeys by renting a boat at the port.
There is a uniform network of 500 bicycle parks and services in the region established to ensure an unforgettable experience in the centre of Hungarian flat terrain cycling.

LAKE TISZA ECOCENTER, POROSZLÓ
Lake Tisza Ecocenter is intended to introduce the natural assets and indigenous animals of Lake Tisza and Tisza valley. The tourist centre is located in Poroszló, and holds spectacles for all age groups with its permanent and seasonal exhibitions, observation tower, and with its leisure park of 7 hectares.
The 3D cinema, the freshwater aquarium system with a total volume of 1 million litres, and the 360-degree observation tower will “hold you captive” in the Ecocenter for many hours. Beyond Poroszló, you can even see Lake Tisza, Mátra and even Bükk Mountains from the tower. (Professional and hobby photographers should definitely take a camera!)
There are two playgrounds on land, one “rafter” aquatic playground, a lake with pelicans, a hedge maze and lots of animals in the leisure park to entertain the visitors. There are also boat tours and small boat trips setting off from the port of Lake Tisza Ecocenter.
